FROM FIRST TO LAST Announces New EP 'We Were Bleeding Anyway'

September 12, 2026

Acclaimed '00s band FROM FIRST TO LAST will release a new EP, "We Were Bleeding Anyway", on October 2 via Fearless Records. The official music video for the EP's latest single, "They Said Your Ghost Was A Promise", can be seen below.

This is no nostalgia play; this is your new millennium favorite band coming back with a vengeance unrivaled and with something important to say. "They Said Your Ghost Was A Promise" is everything fans know and love about the band — a catchy-AF, hands-in-their-air emotional anthem front-loaded with guitars, plate-shifting breakdowns, and DNA-altering singalongs that will define this period of your life. With new singer Lil Lotus confidently in the driver's seat, the band's re-energized sound pops with every note. When Lil Lotus, asks, "Do you want to" over and over in the final third of the song, the answer is a firm and resounding yes!

"'They Said Your Ghost Was a Promise' is a really special song," the band says. "It tackles the subject of loss of a loved one, and we hope it can resonate with others dealing with the same."

"We Were Bleeding Anyway" EP track listing:

01. They Said Your Ghost Was A Promise
02. Your Name in Red Ink
03. Everything Ends In Silence

05. Hate Me All You Want, I Still Got Your...
06. Pale Blue

Formed in Florida in the early 2000s, FROM FIRST TO LAST helped define the post-hardcore and emo scene by colliding soaring melody, chaotic aggression, and emotional songwriting. The raw, genre-blurring sound of "Aesthetic", "Dear Diary", "My Teen Angst Has A Bodycount" and "Heroine" influenced generations of heavy music.

While former FROM FIRST TO LAST vocalist Sonny Moore went on to become Skrillex, founding-era guitarist Matt Good remained a driving force in modern rock, producing for ASKING ALEXANDRIA, SLEEPING WITH SIRENS, HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD, THE WORD ALIVE, MEMPHIS MAY FIRE and ESCAPE THE FATE. Guitarist Travis Richter later co-founded Los Angeles venue 1720, where his path converged with vocalist Lil Lotus. Together they formed IF I DIE FIRST, channeling early screamo for a new generation.

Lotus grew up seeing himself in FROM FIRST TO LAST. His unmistakable tone, visceral screams, and perspective as a lifelong fan make his arrival feel less like a replacement than the closing of a circuit.

By recruiting original bassist Matt Manning and drummer Chris Lent (I SET MY FRIENDS ON FIRE),the band has found the original source code of volatile dynamics, indelible melody and human imperfection into music shaped by adult experiences of loss, survival and rebuilding.

Now signed to Fearless Records, FROM FIRST TO LAST have returned to live stages and completed a new EP. This is not nostalgia for nostalgia's sake, but rather the next logical step: A blast from the past that refuses to live there.
